“Hay que echarle ganas a la vida.” Work hard at life. This is what Nazaria learned from her father at a young age, and is something that she lives by. She has been weaving with this special technique since she was 12 years old.
“I started to make pottery since I could walk,” Betza remembers. “I remember playing with clay while my mom was working, and little by little I started creating my own designs.”
Alberto carries the art of traditional pedal wood loom weaving in his blood. “As children we grew up making our own toys, and we were always interested in the art.”His parents were 2 of the 4 pioneers to start this technique in their region.
